Wanted: Tein ss coilovers

as the title suggests, i'm after a set of tein super street coilovers

nah hugh wrong ones... they are called tein ss and there's 2 different specs i believe? aus and jap?

Both aus and Jap spec have the same spring rates of 8kg front & 7kg rear. I think the only difference (if there actually is one) is the damping rates, and the serial number. The Aus spec ones have a different serial number so it can be detirmined that they are indeed Aus spec, and came from the distributor.


I have Aus spec, and I am happy with them. Ol-Skool has Jap spec, and he seems happy with them too.

The only thing is the Aus spec ones come set up at a specific ride height and include the top mounts. These are actually not pillowball mounts, but rather a rubber bush type. They are essentially ready to bolt into the car.

I think that if you want top mounts in Jap spec, it is an option, hence why new Jap spec ones always seem cheaper. We had to use the stock top mounts on Andy's car, and this requires a little work in the fitting department, but nothing too hard. These also weren't set up to any specific ride height.


But all this is only relevent if you are looking for new.
