The car was originally purchased from Gold Coast Mazda by a prominant gold coast night club owner and subsequently sold in 2001 with 25,000km on the clock. The new owner went down the modifications track and the car ended up quite heavily modified (very large turbo, methanol enrichment, etc) and was subsequently featured in Serious Performance 6 DVD and won a number of dyno competitions including the 2003 Mazfix Dyno Day. I bought the car from the second owner in 2008 with 40,000km on the clock along with most of the SP specific parts that had been removed and stored since the build. My intention is to restore this vehicle back to 100% standard over time. |

Current Modifications: HKS T04S turbo kit, microtech computer, extend ported and dowled engine, 3mm seals, front mount intercooler, 2x bosch 044 fuel pumps and bosch pre-pump, aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, 3" RE amemiya exhaust, HKS EVC5 boost controller, IC&E ignition output booster, single plate brass button clutch. |
