Full roll cage all engineered and legal-20k cost.

New paint job- needs front panels aligned and small scratch on door.

Disagree on your comment of $35 K for a V8 FD.. mine has an agreed replacement value of $40 K. Be careful when making a broad statement on a forum I know you mean no disrespect but unless you have built one and understand the costs associated with the build then I am unsure how you can value it.

This is the age old argument, isn't it, we've seen this here, sooooo many times!
We can all "dream" what our own car is worth, or what our insurers think their worth or will allow us to insure them for. i.e. I have spent over $100k on mine and it's "trailer" insured (race car) with Shannons for $60k (my requested price, they said if i was will to pay the premium, i could insure it for more).
The reality is that it's only worth what the highest person out there is actually willing to pay for it!!!!
If you need to sell something "different" (from a total stocker) then you have to meet the price the current market is willing to pay!!! There is nothing rude, nasty or insulting about it (i, know that Ras would never try to insult anyone), it's just reality.

I agree with Drew. Market value is usually be very different from insured value / replacement cost.

Trying not to whore up here and I wish the seller all the best with the sale. Must be very tough after the time, effort and expense gone in to building this car. I think after all that, you'd be mad to sell it (maybe the build was the enjoyable part?). Unless you have to sell, and in which case, IMO you'll have to meet the market.

Possibly more of a market on no-pistons.com or isn't there a v8FD forum? If you haven't advertised here already, I would suggest doing so.

I know there are some V8FD fans here but unfortunately very small market you're appealing to.

I can't speak for most people but my personal 0.02c is a 20B would be better between the strut towers. However, I haven't driven either conversion so not the best to comment! Irrelevant here anyway.

All the best with finding a buyer who appreciates the expense and advantages of such a conversion.

Seriously, it's a steal at that price. If I didn't have mine already I'd buy it.
Crazy that it hasn't been snapped up...about 20k to do a conversion ;-)
If it were mine I'd just keep it...
