Hi, just wondering how much power you ended up making with a single turbo setup and aftermarket SMIC?
280-300hp @ the wheels @ 12psi

Are you sure you dont mean 280-300KW at the wheels
Its around 220kw @ the wheels, its got full boost at 3200-3500 rpm.
Car was made for the street, not to be a HP Hero.

I really like how the engine bay is subtle. You wouldnt even think it has a single turbo set up. Good luck with sale.
Thanks, Uploaded new pics to Carsales

How is the response with the stock airbox?
Good, I have modified it to supply more cool Airflow over standard.

you gotta keep in mind its only running 12psi which is nothing for the turbo
if the boost was cranked up you would be seeing those type of numbers.

At 23,990 I'm utterly shocked nobody's grabbed this yet. If I was in the market I would've purchased it at $26,000!!

Yep was thinking the same, Im pissed this wasnt for sale when I was looking for a FD.
Best part would be driving it back from Darwin at 200kph

The hardest part would be getting it through rego inspection.
When I bought mine back from Melbourne and I took it to Regency they picked it to pieces, this wasn't even a full inspection just a rego check.

Ha ha,
You guys are clearly going to the wrong place, when my car is finished the roadworthy certificate is arriving in the mail. You need mechanics that are so intelligent they can tell that a car is safe by speaking to you over the phone.

If your too soft to do things this way, make friends with a sympathetic engineer, pay him a pile of cash to mod plate eveything and youre in the clear.
The car comes with every single standard part that was removed, so if the buyer wanted to convert it back to stock then sell off all the parts.
They would end up with a sweet RX7 for under $20,000!!!
I cant believe it was sold either!
I bought it for $30,000 3 years ago and all it had was a set of wheels.
I just need to sell it as I just don't have Room/Time for it anymore.

I had a good experience with dbautotech in Brisbane and happy to recommend him for a Queensland engineering certificate and mod plate.
Friendly and let's you know ahead of time what might pass and what won't.
I got the blue mod plate to save myself trouble with being pulled up.
In Queensland I have a good idea now about what will and won't pass....but no expert.

How much would it cost to get something like this engineered roughly?
Willing to take $22,000 for anyone of the Forum.
Maybe someone wants to buy a second FD3S?

It's actually really devastating to see that it's this hard to sell such an example.
If you looked into returning the car to stock and selling all the aftermarket parts, I would put my hand up for the turbo setup straight away!

You need to ring up your local engineers and ask ....just as I did....second hand info is not useful

Already have 2, if not would have bought it for sure!
Good to see it sold, hope the guy who bought it realizes what a good deal he got.
