These aren't bad Kc: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=16865&cat=0&page=1

Yeah they are well priced but you will need to modify it to fit needs the bracket moved and the nipple placed in a different location , and the old one blocked .

Do a search plenty of info on this on the forum .........Search is your friend

SPII makes up a aluminium AST they are made up to the exact same dimentions as the stock AST. You can paint them up or polish them what ever floats your boat. hit up marcus if your interested but i think theres a waiting list at the moment.

I would recommend steering clear of these. They all seem to leak. One member has had 4 of them leak through the welds. Yes you read it right, 4 of them. Some instantly upon filling, some took weeks.

Ultimately there is no need for the factory shape of the AST. A cylinder will actually do the job better, and cost less to make.

There is also the argument that there is no need for an AST at all. I have not had one in my car for about 5 years with no issues.

Give Ric Shaw a call 0418 649320. He sells aluminium ones that are replicas of the originals. We run them on our race cars. I think they are $220 high quality. Not sure if there is a photo of it on his web site www.ricshawracing.com (http://www.ricshawracing.com).

Have you considered getting one from Japan?

For around $650 you can get a 'Super' AST, race spec :P

Or something more reasonable are the Re-amemiya or the Knight Sports ones.

With the RE Amemiya one, just make sure you do something before you install it. Take the brass hose fittings out of it (and the spare bung), remove the teflon tape from the threads, then seal them up with a decent thread locking sealant. Some people have reported leaks around those fittings.

Or get one that has alloy fittings welded on. ;)
