Thought it may be worthwhile to compile a list of online stores that people have found useful and good to deal with.

http://rhdjapan.com/ Great for model specific aftermarket parts and OEM parts.

http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/home.php Local company, have a great range of products. Trying to get a forum discount :)

http://www.nengun.com/ Also good for model specific parts. I think some have had issues with shipment times but i have not had a drama with them previously.

http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/ One of the better local sites. Morrie who runs it is an Adelaide boy and has always been great to deal with. Some of their prices for consumables and various parts are exceptional.

http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?MMID=1487 Great site for those of us into racing.

http://www.pineappleracing.com/index.asp They have some excellent and unique products, such as the LIM, the idler pulley kit for those with no air pump, also have all your OEM parts, rebuild kits etc. US so shipping can hurt. They are prompt with email replies and shipping though.

http://www.banzai-racing.com/ Great things like block off kits, diff brace, oil pan brace, engine mounts.

http://www.rx7store.net/ Awesome site for RX7 specific stuff. From the states so shipping can hurt. Their replies to emails were poor and shipping was ridiculous. $80US dearer than racing beat. Have used these guys for their fuel rails, have been much better to deal with.

http://racingbeat.com/ Similar to rx7store, again from the states so shipping can hurt, but they have some great stuff. These guys were great. They replied promptly to my technical questions and their freight quote was very good. They also got the goods out in exceptional time.

http://www.atkinsrotary.com/ Some unique parts like the solid 2mm corner seals. They were fantastic to deal with, exceptionally prompt and good with emails. Parts were sent in excellent time.

http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ Never used them, but an alternative.

http://www.compfriction.com.au/ Probably one of the cheapest place for brake/clutch gear.

http://www.alamomotorsports.com/fjo/ For the FJO inj driver, best price for freight etc

Greenline Motorsports... http://www.greenline.jp/

http://rx7.com/index.html

http://www.fighters-garage.com/rx7.html

www.tirerack.com Fantastic price on wheels, freight much fairer than places like vivid racing. Communication can be poor, but if you email [email protected] you will get good service. Their price on semi slicks also puts local market to shame.

http://www.srmotorsports.com/sr9395rx.html Heaps of variety in parts, they are racers too, so i would guess products are well tested?

Will add more as people post.

If you're buying from Revolution Racegear, call up the Sydney store on (02) 9648 4044 and talk to Joseph. He used to work in the Adelaide store and is a top bloke to deal with. He's got a sweet 1st gen RX-7 and is always willing to see what he can do for the Rotary drivers.

Just got some more stuff through;

RHD Japan and they were fantastic. Very prompt delivery and great communication.

Racing Beat- there was a back order on one product, but their communication was fantastic and price/freight was fair.

Added www.tirerack.com just bought wheels from them, excellent turn around time and communication once i emailed lee (see orignal post for email). Their price on semi's is also around half of what local price is! Keep in mind their freight prices don't include local charges.

Seem to remember someone else mentioning import of R comp tyres.....possibly US or one of the UK stores. US seems to miss the more popular tyres here from what I see. Anyone want to volunteer what they've paid in freight if they've gone this route and/or vendor?

Average tyre is about 12~13kg, cubic volume appears to be the killer......typical wheels appear to be about $300 freight.

.

May 2009 I bought thru Tire Rack:

4 Enkei RPF01
4 Yoko A048

mounted, balanced by TireRack.

$245USD in Freight to Sydney from Indiana.

Slugged with an extra $500 approx from memory in import duties. FED EX delivered.

Cheers

That's interesting ~20 odd kg, heard someone paying around $270 for wheels alone. The medium/hards don't really appeal in Yokos and not sure about the Khumos they have. Sounds like there should have been a split load and pay a bit extra there, but always found Fedex money hungry.

Waiting on a response on these, might be fun if it's wet!

I also paid about $300 for shipping on my wheels, but also got slugged locally for duties etc.

I think there was just over 65kgs all up. 4 tyres and 4 wheels.

Yeah...Yoko's MH were total shit. After three 20 mins sessions @ EC running low 1.50's they were barely warm. Now running DZ03's again. Taking 255/45/17 DZ03's Medium's to Targa this year. At my pace they should last easy!!

FedEx are nazi's on the 1k barrier, when it comes to duties.

I have had about 10 things come thru Fed this year. 2 were over 1k. They were the only two stopped for duties.

cheers

Fuel price fluctuation you'd have to think might be responsible, unless there's a high and low season in freight too.

Consensus seems to be the Dunlops followed by Bridgestones, other brands and the 048s a long way back. Not sure there's a sweet heart deal going, notice the Glenney mobile running the 050s, but haven't heard any first hand reports......and then added into the mix is the no penalty, new tyre rule, which might permit softs with a bit of judicious wheel swapping during the week.

Few of the R888 sellers have them for well under US200, with a 3 to 6 week wait, probably delusions of potential outcomes anyway, no matter the rubber, just makes you cry with the prices here.

while they have a decent range, they have never had the best price for any gear that I've been looking for.

I just bought some brand new OEM parts from:

http://www.onlinemazdaparts.com/

No problems, very quick to reply and send, adjusted postage rather than make more money via system calculated rates (shopping cart calculated $89 down to $70).

+1 for Montgomery Mazda.

I basically built a whole new s5 turbo gearbox for the price of a couple of components from Mazda Australia. He was very helpful.

For clutch parts I found these guys great to deal with and are located in brisbane.

http://www.directclutch.com.au

Really fast communication, $110 for a stock replacement disk!!! Seems they stock most of the rx7 components ready to ship and many performance kits. Drew Sir20B is one of the sales staff and have always found him good to deal with.
