I will "try" and get to taking some pictures this weekend....worst thing is the car is covered in dust (Parked in garage since returning from paint shop)...

Might have to have its first ever wash since being painted prior to photos lol

You will have to get a blue slip if it remains unregistered for over 3 months after expiring.

To elaborate..its 100% registerable....you will need to install a s6/7 motor (Same thing...8 bit ECU) factory exhaust and emissions gear..then it should pass straight through a blue slip without issue..

Alternatively, whack a commodore motor in it...use the commodore ECU, bolt in kits are available...and engineer it, then take through rego...
I have heard of people buying commodores that are wrecked, salvaging the engine / box / ecu..and selling the rest for a zero cost...fairly easy with an LS2....but harder to find LS3 models..

Oh man you've actually got me thinking about selling my FD over here in Ireland. I'm about to go through the ball ache of importing my FD.

Any idea what a good second hand 13B turbo (stock) goes for in Australia?

Basically if someone were to return this to stock and install a second hand motor what do you think it would cost to get it on the road again in this configuration?

Has this car ever had accident damage? It looks like the front oil cooler is bent, but I think it's just the lighting in the photo?

Interesting that the 1998 AU cars still used the 8bit ECU and not 16bit like the JDM cars.

It doesn't have a sunroof does it? I know the AU and UK cars tended to have sunroofs but I can't see 1 in the photos.

Very rare in Montego Blue in this year

Can pick up front cuts for around $3500 delivered, which would include pretty well everything needed to get it operational again...with a few spares left over..

No accident damage i can report, and none i have seen from previous owners..the oil cooler is straight..just a weird photo thing i guess..

Aus Spec..so sunroof /leather / cruise / power everything / rear bins / twin oil coolers etc..a few other things i prob cant remember lol

And yes...its basically a later model Type III (8 bit ECU), with different rear spoiler etc factory, and 1-2 other upgrades from the standard type III...but, definately not a Type IV..

    Cheers
