ok I am checking the warranty side of things, good question.
hard to control with most cars being modified.
these units are more sturdy than the 93-2002 models.
will flow better so can pump a higher pressure.
15psi is safe! but will work to a higher number.
I have put a set on one of our Targa cars and will Dyno this coming week.
    then I will post results.
I can post flow charts for the technical folk.
the idea is to have a better turbo for street use and for ported engines but not for the "lets go single" boys.many of us still want a seq set up with the benefits of response down low.
these turbos cost less than rebuilding your old ones and modifying them. also all new.
result is like the Knightsport units but brand new.or the BnR units but with out the problems of oil leaks(seen this on every set).

    Hi Ric,

Please post up exact wheel sizes flow maps, pictures of turbine wheel design, any details you can about the bearing upgrades. These would have to be way neater install and more reliable than BNR's or GCG as they come straight out of the Hitachi factory!

Is both sides of the turbo bigger or only the compressor side? Have you had a set of vernier calipers over the wheels?

Is the HT12 map from the 265PS or the 280PS twin?

Here is the only other flow map I've seen...

Ok so they have also altered the design of the turbine housing without changing the turbine A/R.

    see the charts.
yes more reliable. I have played with turbos on the FD for some 10 years or more and the GCG units are good, I developed them with them. These need no inlet mods to Y pipe.
cant give away all the secrets, RnD cost remember. but these are now a real option and may not be for everyone. we obviously see them as being good for or Targa competition car.

    the 265PS turbos are HT10's

Thanks so much for posting the info you have posted! Confirms what I already knew, stock turbo flow is very similar to T3-45 and T3-50 trim wheels.

The conversion from kg/s to lb/min is 132.275.

50.3lb/min mass flow at roughly 2.0PR and 70% efficiency is enough for ~265rwkw Who is game to go there and who can get all that heat out the tiny turbine wheel and housing.

These turbos are better and cheaper than before, normally factory new costs a lot more.
remember some units seem cheap on Ebay till you ship them.
These are good for std cars too as they respond as std.

These are as good as the knight sports units? sounds good, but what is actually different to these turbos as opposed to the factory units? these are brand new from hitachi but what have they changed to make them better?

cool. read the thread I posted originally. see the charts.
all you need to know is they are" factory high flow" units. Better.

    Hi Ric,
    Couple of quick questions

Any porting performed to the manifold?
    Is the Wastegate enlarged?
Are they still 270 degree bush bearing?

The bearings are better and heavy duty so to speak, 2013 spec. the shaft is stronger.
This enables high boost to be used.
Waste gate is larger but manifold is not supplied, you use std original.
Actuators are different in preload and have adjustable rods.

    Dynoed the High flow twins.
running non seq. ( but are good as seq too)
    1 bar boost.
    3" exhaust
    Ric Shaw Dual pass cooler
    std air box with K&N
    mild port engine.
    233 kws on cool run.
    Graph is hot run.
    225 kws.
this is on MY duno and will be lower than most others.
same engine with STD HT12 turbos made 200 kws.

these flow better than STD HT10 or HT12.
the exhaust housing can be machined more if required for better exhaust flow again. Say for a Bridge Port. but these have been made by factory to be used on std engines/mild port engines as an upgrade that responds as std.and with full seq mode.
we use non seq on our Targa car, all good.
these are not turbos to replace a large single.
these work as well as a GT 35/40 with a 1.0 exhaust.
both make 230 odd kws on 1 bar at wheels on my dyno.
    and
    12months/20000km warranty.
