I wish I bought these, they are very nice.

Question, I found a set that are the following size.
    18×9.5j +30
    18×10.5j +22

Do you think these will fit a standard body FD? My guards have been rolled.

I really like the size of the ones in this post, so may wait until I can find a set in this size.

Hey Gav, I'm thinking they probably won't fit standard guards without stupid camber. How low is your car? Do you have coil overs of factory struts? I know everyone wants big arse wheels but unless you run offsets similar to factory or 4wd ride height wheel scrub is horrible and you've got the engine harness running in the passenger guard to think of.

Thanks mate, I'll keep looking. I'm running stock struts and ride height is a little lower than stock.

I really like the look of these wheels on an FD in this size / offset.

Have a look at Enigmatic's offsets and sizes as a guide. He has huge wheels and no fitment issues because of the offsets. Bear in mind coil overs do give a bit more room on the inner faces though.

For a bit more reference material 18x9.5s +38 front +20 rear CR Kiwami's. Front could take a few more mm rear is as flush as I'd want to go without silly camber. Rolled guards a must

Yeah she's a factory competition yellow mica S6. It needs a respray though and I didn't realise how crappy the front bumper looked until I saw the drag photos lol. I've thought about painting it black but I think I'd regret it

You got a fair bit of stretch on your front tyres Anders? I test fitted a set of work 17x9 +32 to my fd and looking down at the front guard/rim from above I could see the wheel lip was noticeably outside the guard, also mine did occasional scrub over a large bump and I hate that. Yours are 1/2 in wider but don't have that problem. Could be ride height also I guess?

I've got 255/35r18s all round and 2.5 degrees camber up front with max caster and rears got set to 1.5 by the alignment ppl even though I said to set them even as I thought they would scrub, 1.5 works nicely though. I've always bottomed out even with the 8.5 +50's I used to have on there and it's no worse now, set the dampers to hard and it rarely bottoms out anyway. There's only a little bit of stretch there. 265s would be square I'm pretty sure and I could definitely fit 265s on the front and maybe on the back too but that would be getting close!

I think 9s with +32 would sit the same as 9.5 +38 just with an extra 6mm on my inside. My front guards have been rolled by a previous owner and the lips are almost completely flat so maybe it's pulled the gaurd out a little?! Rears weren't rolled at all and I freaked out a little when I saw the clearance of my new rims, just a light roll and it sits really nicely though

Has the front reo still got the bits of foam mounted on top? I think that was mentioned in the past as causing the ripples....warmish climate probably doesn't help the plastic long term either.

Oh wow, never thought removing the reo could affect the shape of the front bumper. I took it off years ago for the front mount IC. That would explain it though!

I can see why you might be chipping pinion teeth too!

Late S6 or S7 rear wing?

The spoiler is a bit of an oddity, I've only seen it online on maybe 2 other FDs, apparently it's an early mazdaspeed wing according to what they said. Certain angles I think it looks good, other times I want the 'classic' s8 wing.

Was still getting crazy wheel hop thumping through the whole car after the diff rebuild and new bushes everywhere. I ended up tightening down the banzai poly engine mounts nice and hard and got an alignment (had 20mm toe in) and it's a hell of a lot better. So hopefully no more rear end carnage!! Lol
