Interesting, I haven't seen that many around. I would like a white set for my car, but I'd rather put in a os giken diff or some carbon bits first. The white faced s8 gauges already look pretty good!

I don't think the Blue Cluster works on the red FD posted earlier. I've seen the Blue Cluster in a black, blue and silver FD and I think it works with all those colours. White is obviously neutral so it would work there also. Not sure about other colours though...

Even rarer and what I would like to find is the FEED RED cluster. With a Silver FD with Red Recaro's would look the tits!

The standard Version 6 white cluster looks better than the Mazdaspeed white cluster IMHO.

But I digress...

I imported my FD back in 2007.

Back then any car with structural damage wasn't eligible. However cars in accidents with minor panel damaged (& repaired) were eligible for import and rated R at auction too.

I thought I would chip in on the Spirit R. Accident damage cars are not always write-off cars. They are often cars that have had a panel or two replaced. This is listed on the cars shakken by the dealer during repair so owners are forced to acknowledge that there has been panels removed to disclose history of the car.

Cars with a RA, A1, 01, represent very low accident damage - one or two panels.

You cant import cars with structural damage.

Some grade 3.5 and lower have accident damage also.

im making an assumptiom they did blue for series 6 as that is a series 6 and it has the oil pressure gauge. Dont know if that assumption is correct tho

I'm fairly certain it was only available as a Version 5/6 cluster. If you look at the photos you can see the boost gauge needle is set to 'full boost' but it's not even running.

You can install a later cluster in an early car but you have to do some modifications for the boost gauge to work. The plugs are the same otherwise.

I haven't done it on my series 6 yet because I like the low oil warning buzzer and don't want to loose that. A boost gauge however would be nice and I do like the white cluster I've got...

Still thinking I might get some custom faces done up instead to retain the earlier cluster and maybe the FlyRX7 triple gauge pod with a boost gauge in that instead?

Maybe mods can split this topic re: clusters into another thread, I'd like to leave this thread to discussions about cars for sale.

However I'd never spend that much for the FEED cluster, as far as I can tell all these clusters are the same as OEM, just different faces on them. I am skeptical they are anymore accurate than the OEM Mazda ones.

You could easily custom make clusters cheaper and retain the standard cluster in your car with correct mileage etc..

This guy does Mx5 gauges, he said he'd done a set of Rx-7 gauges at 1 point also, but it was a US cluster with the MPH gauge. So he needed to have cluster sent to him.
