You'd spend a fair amount of money fixing that, I shudder to think of what will happen to it. Bog rocket comes to mind, in about 20 years some poor bastard is gonna sandblast that and discover his pride and joy restoration project has been given a good wallop!

I don't think it's worth $12k.

But if you replace the entire 1/4 panel and door you might be able to repair it correctly. Quite a bit of work I'd say.

The fact that it has rotormaster stickers on it would make me steer clear of it.
This poor fella thinks he got a rebuilt engine, he certainly got over charged for one, thats for sure.
Had a bad experience with bodjoe, would never deal with that crook again.

Well let me know if you do, although it's not a priority for me at this stage. I just like the OEM look and my Sony head unit flashes all kinds of stupid lights and I can't figure out how to stop it doing it. Which is annoying at night.

All FD's came with a rear strut brace. Front on the other hand... No.

Pretty sure they do. The rear strut brace is part of the interior trim. The trim pieces over the strut tops are all the same. Selling a car without the brace would look stupid, and people would want to know why a part is missing.

Looking through the Identifying S8s thread. Was pretty sure Gomez mentioned that there is no rear brace on an RB. I haven't been in that thread for over a year though, so my memory might be a little hazy.

I've seen plenty of FD's, and I've never seen one that didn't have a rear strut brace from factory. The only time I've seen it is when someone has removed it.
