Very true, watched a video last night about a guy in the UK who daily drives a Ferrari 360. It was modified to Stradale spec too. Him and the host Matt Farah both agreed the high mileage Ferraris always run better than the ones with no miles on them.

Both of you are absolutely correct. People forget that car parts can effectively pass their expiry date through disuse. A low km car that's past a certain age may look nice on the surface but still have fully rooted shocks, brakes, suspension bushes. Oil seals can be dried and perished, engines carboned up, vacuum solenoids seized etc. In this way a "nice" example can cost as much as a well worn car to refresh. Probably the main real advantage would be a less worn interior and paintwork on a lower Km car.

Hi guys, time to sell my RX7 been sitting in the shed for the last 8 years, was going to keep it forever but my current situation regretfully has made me put it on the market. Purchased in 2009 for 32K, had a recent rebuild and was producing around 350bhp at that time. I drove it twice a month while on break from the mines for 1 year only and then decided to garage it way as a collector item. But its time to go now and priced for a quick sale! As is, where is.

I actually drove it 4 years ago for bit of fun around the block a few times and still went like a dream, then reparked it in the shed and was away for 4 years. Now not starting due to no voltage pulse to injectors, but thats about to be fixed and sorted. Will repost a youtube vid when the car is running and all put back together! FD's in this condition and a 20 grand ask is more than reasonable, if you dont think so then jump on carsales and have a little comparison session! Reposting this add because the last add was removed due to a potential racist remark I may have made towards scammers that keep on trying to scam my car off me, Im sure you all know what Im talking about. Only waiting for a few more days and im taking it off the market and ill keep it. Get it now for 20k or get it next year for 30k...and i wont drop a cent next year for 30 grand. cheers. The white cluster dash came out either Nov 1999 OR 2000 so can be a genuine S8

Could be a personal import JDM S6 with S8 facelift conversion. Front guard appears to be S6 version missing the black rubber bit that the bonnet rests on.

This one is a total bitsa.

It has the late version ABS unit. Also has the late version y-pipe that bolts together. Seems to have late version carpet, and of course the steering wheel and seats.

But it has early version cooling fans (white blades), and early version dash (no airbag on the passenger side, gauges). No rubber thingys in the inside of the front guards for the bonnet to rest on. Doesn't have actual marker lights in the rear side lights, meaning they are just reflectors like all the earlier cars. The textured finish of the dash/console means it's not mega early version, 94 or later.

The early version fans say it's actually an early version that has had later version parts fitted, simply because the wiring harness' are vastly different. The early fans won't plug into a later wirinng harness. Integrating the later version ABS is certainly odd, and not a simple swap.

My opinion is it's a Jap spec car from about 94-96 with later version parts fitted for what ever reason. Maybe they're trying to pass it off as somehting it's not, maybe they bought it as a shell and built it up with what ever parts they could find. Unless you get an honest answer from the seller, I would avoid it. Certainly not worth the asking price.

The actual VIN would tell you exactly what version it is, but they haven't supplied it.
