That SA22 RX7 in the sandtrap looked like he got close to touching the wall.

You weren't wrong when you said it was wet.

I was on the hill watching when he did it. He was passing another SA22 at the end of the straight and either overestimated the grip available on turn one kink or more likely just preoccupied with passing and missed the braking.

He rotated so quickly when he turned in/braked that he was pointing backwards before he left the track!

and I have to say the marshal's weren't on point either the first time the car got stranded at turn 2 I ended up calling the office to radio the marshal's to get him out.

even the 2nd time the another car got stranded in the same spot they let out the next group and left him there.

Glad you called the first one in to the office. Tyre barriers obscure the visibility from the marshal point.
Maybe if more people put their hand up to help that wouldn't have happened.

We are always looking for volunteers. Every event. We are a small car club with very limited human resources. It is this issue that prevents us from booking other circuits where the requirement is much higher.

Please don't wait to be asked, feel free to offer, we would have put you in the heated control tower with a birds eye view of the track, so that the blind spot at turn 2 was nullified.

Typically speaking, driver's briefings tend to be attended by drivers!
