2002 Type R Bathurst R Red - SA

After years of talking about it my Red FD 2002 Type R Bathurst is for sale. I am in the north eastern suburbs of South Australia.

I have owned the car for 8 years. It has 74,000km on the clock (it was around 36,000km when I bought it). I am the third owner in Australia.

I have had it regularly serviced. For a number of years I took it to REVS but in the last few years it has been going to Jaustech.

Modifications:
Aluminium AST
Koyo N-Flow Radiator
Apexi Power Intake
Trust dump pipe
Power FC

Six months ago I had to replace the turbo's after second turbo failed. At the same time I had a brand new solenoid box assembly fitted with all new check valves and vacuum hoses. The work was done by Jaustech.

One month ago I had a brand new battery fitted by the RAA.

I have taken a lot of pride in owning this car and have done my best to take good care of it. I am selling because these days I do not get to drive it often. It is time to pass it on to someone who can enjoy it for the magnificent car it is.

Asking price is $27,770. I would like to see it go to a good home and I am willing to negotiate with the right buyer. I would also consider a swap for a Nissan Elgrand.

And some answers to commons questions:

Has the car ever been in an accident?
None that I am aware of.

Does the car have any rust?
Same again, none that I am aware of.

Are the any issues?
Yes, it is a 15 year old car after all
- The glove box bracket is broken. I have fixed it as best I could and the glove box functions fine but it is not perfect.
- The coilovers are original and I think the ride would benefit if they were replaced/upgraded.
- There are some door dings on the left rear quarter courtesy of my kids. I am waiting on a quote to have them repaired. If it is reasonable I'll get them fixed before sale.
- There is a small crack at the bottom of the front bar on the drivers side.
- Front lip needs repainting

Other stuff I have done that I forgot to mention...
- Replaced the ash tray in the center console with an armrest/coin tray, I still have the ash tray somewhere
- Replaced the drivers side guard liner and put new brake ducts on both sides.
