Gday all,
Im very sad to say this but a couple of weeks ago I had an accident while out driving my FD. Ill post the details of exactly how it happened as a closing chapter to my build thread for those interested. I really only want to keep the HKS turbo.
I thought Id offer the car complete for a week or two(minus turbo, mani, wastegate, dump) as suitable for race car, repair project, LS conversion, widebody build or parts, to see if anyone is interested. If theres no takers for the whole thing, I'll part it out.
So here it is:
Year:1992 Aus spec S6, 2 seater with rear bins! sunroof, approx 160,000kms on the car
Price: $6000
Details: Recently refreshed extend port engine (done to Xtreme rotaries templates) includes all new seals throughout, new oil pump, new oil lines and injectors, OMP 2 stroke adaptor), Light flywheel, new Direct Clutch single, FFE full rail kit and FPR, ID725 primaries, Bosch 2200 secondaries (all cleaned and flow tested under 200km ago) new Walbro 460 pump, 4x new Mercury IGN-1A coils, sakebomb harness to suit.
(Engine has re-used Irons, I bought used housings but with good chrome, and used rotors measured up and within spec)
Engine made about 351 hp at 11.8psi, has done bugger all kms (maybe 250 since built).
Accessories:
Apexi power fc and hand controller, apexi 3 bar Map sensor
AEM wideband gauge.
Latest Greddy Profec OLED boost controller
Car sits on stock S8 16" wheels
Flyrx7 60mm triple gauge pod (not installed)
S8 Nardi wheel
The Damage: The car has been hit on drivers rear quarter panel and also direct front impact.
The chassis has been bent on both sides, very close to the front of the car (forward of both the crossmember and strut towers so likely no suspension involvment).
The car was deemed only an "economic writeoff", so can be definitely be straightened and legally returned to the road under QLD law.
Parts Required: Windscreen, 2X Front Guards, a Front bumper, bonnet, Rear bumper, 2x Headlights and Indicators, Drivers Tail light. Oil coolers, Radiator, Intercooler.
If youre any good at finding used parts this could be bought for about $3K.
Im under no illusions that this is a small repair job and frankly after 5 years of mucking with this thing thats why Im letting it go. Its definitely cheap though and doable for someone who has the time and inclination to have a go at doing some of the repairs themself.
Id suggest its most suitable for a track car, LS conversion or replace all the damaged stuff with a widebody kit.
PM me in interested in the car, otherwise wait for buzzards circling to announce the part out.
cheers
Stretch
