Finally decided to make the decision to sell the car. It literally just sits in the garage and doesn't get driven. My expectation was after putting all the money and hard work into it was that I'd love to drive it every weekend and take it to the occasional track day. All I've done so far is take it to the car wash once a month - I simply don't have the time to enjoy this car and hate to see it wasting away in the garage.

2001 Mazda RX7 Type R Bathurst R.

Not to be mistaken with the more common Bathurst Type R. This model was limited to a 500 car production run in 2001 and features exclusive higher end parts such as a carbon fiber interior and twin oil coolers.

I have owned this car since 2013 when it was imported and complied to Australian standards. The car comes with all log books, Japanese deregistration and auction papers. You will be able to buy with confidence knowing that the odometer has not been tampered with and that the kilometers on this car are genuine.

Since owning the car, I have added certain enhancements to improve the reliability and drive-ability of the car. Each and every one of these parts were carefully considered with reliability being the first and foremost importance. Not only this, but even with these enhancements, the car has retained the characteristics which Mazda originally intended for it to have. The sleek curves of the body and the torque of the twin turbos have not been compromised.

RACV checks or engine compression/leak down tests by professional mechanics are welcome and even encouraged. I'm confident the results will be pleasing as I recently had these tests performed on the car myself with very positive results. Don't be fooled by cars on the market with lower kilometers with questionable and unknown histories as it is known that many of these cars have their odometers tampered with when imported by certain dealerships.

RWC can also be provided and will be discussed with potential buyers.
