    Default 5 speed trans

If anyone has a spare FD manual transmission you'd like to get rid of, let me know.

Happy to organise freight from interstate.

Mine is starting to develop a light input shaft whine and thought I'd get a spare ready.

Someone was advertising on Facebook or Gumtree for exchange gearboxes. (rebuilt). Might be worth asking them? You seem like the type that would rebuild your own however..

I'd love to keep the FD driving and have a crack at fixing the old one slowly on the side.

What sort of oil are you running? You probably know about it already but Redline Shockproof gearbox oil can work wonders. Many people report smoother shifting as well as old noises disappearing ,

Penrite 75W90. Changed recently made 0 difference to the input shaft whine so assume it will need new bearings at some stage.

    Hi Michael

I have an AUS spec series 6 box but it also has a noisy input shaft bearing. Located in Melb. PM me if interested.

    Cheers

There was someone up here with about 1/2 a dozen boxes, that had all been blueprinted, he wanted 1500 bucks each though if you're keen. Sir20b might be worth a call for an import box too, his freight rates weren't that bad from Qld iirc.

cheers yall, got a series 8 one sorted! I'll crack open the old one for a play once I get the replacement in.

Have used shockproof in the Z32 in the past, it ate through my tired seals and all pissed out once it got hot so not keen on using it again.
