I think it's that other alternatives exist now for improved ignition in an FD.
Not if you want a true plugin upgrade with no wiring required at all. It's literally 2 plugs and an earth.

I notice the Japanese, have 2 or 3 new ignition amplifiers on the market now for these things. Hard to imagine huge number of these cars left over there that would make it profitable to develop 1, let alone multiple new types!
