I really hope somebody knocks him off one of these days
Shame he's still in business and people actually buy stuff off him.
Every time he tries to sell an FD I'm cringing. Then you see him post up RZ/Spirit R Recaros at $6-$7k for a pair and mark them sold within a few days.
Either there's really keen people out there paying that much just for seats or he's trying to make his business look legitimate.

I reckon the wheels are falling off the wagon of the global economy. I saw a Mazda r100 coupe sell for $67k.

Might be wrong platform for it, but they usually get 6 figures at least.
Straight dash car with the tail light trims and extra high spec garnishes added red flagged that car to anyone that knew anything about them. And all the thai import jam jobs that it was sold with didn't help.
I was offered a serious amount for my R100 just last week, good money is still out there for good cars.
Meanwhile matey is asking 85K for another Spirit R Type A, this time a white one with a claimed 55,000km.
Anyone got a Sa22c, FC3s, or FD3s with no engine laying around for cheap?
I could consider a project car in the next months...no rush

[02:08 PM] Sefveron: yeah but stocker, you reckon the factory bilsteins are good... your opinion is moot
[02:03 PM] Black Talon: pretty much
[02:03 PM] Craysus: all warm and cuddly
[02:03 PM] Craysus: caregiver in a childcare centre..
[02:02 PM] Deceptikhon: what are you studying to be paul?

Hey Blur,
I'm no expert on R100's (I'd like to be). Can you elaborate on why these are issues?
I'm not that familiar with the home market cars and differences between AU market cars.
I assume the straight dash is a 1200 item only (piston engine) and not a rotary powered car?
Those high spec garnishes are they for the home market cars only?
What are the Thai Import Jam Jobs you're referring to?
Here is a super nice car I saw years ago on Youtube, bet cha the owner regrets selling it. When I saw it, it was the first time I saw the high spec garnish on the rear valance panel.
I could spend a week detailing differences in R100s.
The straight dash was available as a base model car in later versions (71-72 jdm). The tail light trims and window garnishes were specific to the high spec cars and jdm only. No Aussie R100 had a straight dash or any extra garnishes on the body.
When I refer to 'Thai import Jam jobs', that car was marketed with 4 or 5 other early Mazdas, mostly 808s and 1 rx3 that was a bit questionable with talk on the enthusiast forums of a number job. They were all just prettied up for auction with a 'jam job' paint job, so a bit rough.
Makes sense, I thought perhaps also Grey's Online wasn't the venue for it. But if those factors are at play I think you're right re: price.
Personally I don't like the straight dash. Prefer the other version.
