Default FS: Ohlins PCV Coilover Suspension

Price: $1700 ono + shipping if applicable.
    Location: Melb
    Condition: Excellent.
Reason for Sale: Selling my car
Contact Details: O4O3283382 or lanceleth at hotmail dot com
    Details:

Hi all, I'm selling my car in stock condition so I no longer need these Ohlins PVC coilovers.

    • Spring rate: F:11/R:11
    • 20-step damper adjustable
    • Height adjustable
    • ~10000km of use, looks new.
    • 100% working condition - No leaks, no faults.
    • Made in Japan

On the softest settings they're comparable to my stock Bilsteins on my RZ. On the stiffest setting you'll feel the texture of the road through your seat. I had it a couple of clicks from softest most of the time for the street, but then at the track I could crank it right up.

Height adjustability wise you can have it low enough to have the car sitting on it's under body or rally style. How it's set in the photos is current ~1" lower than stock.

And if you're still reading and need some convincing, I was told these things were easily worth $3k+ when new. If you want to be comfortable AND go fast, these are for you. Refer to my signature for my PBs in a very mildly modded RZ with just some bolt on mods. Finally did I mention these were Ohlins?

    Cheers,
    David

Pics taken today (24 Feb 2013). They came straight off the car:

And.. the shock dyno graphs are attached for the real suspension savvy.

how would they compare to tein SS ?
would love to go for a drive in an fd with ohlins to compare...

    could be interested...
will depend on how much it ends up costing me to sort out my solenoids issue...

I can't say because I've never been in an FD with TEIN SS (with upper mounts).

Spring rates are similar, the Ohlins have slightly more damper adjustability. FWIW However based on general perception and higher RRP, the Ohlins would be a better performing, higher quality system.

    Good luck with them solenoids!

haha hopefully its not to bad...

spring rates are different... my tein SS are 8/7 combo... so im sure yours would be better.... just wish some one in melbourne had an FD with ohlins that could take me for a test drive!

I'm near cbd but could come to you if needed?
    That would be awesome...

    What's your opinion on them?
I like the teins...but a bit soft for my liking. Had hks before that...and they were tough...but I loved them. Started leaking though

I'm western suburbs, would definitely prefer you coming here instead of driving into the cbd..

I love these, Eiji would have a lot more experience with them as I've only had the car since last October / November, have taken it to some nice roads and hopefully a hill climb event in March. I would agree with everything he's said, on a soft setting they are pretty comfortable and when stiffer you can really feel the road (awesome on twisties).

I still need to get a proper alignment done on my car.

With the rx7 I do sometimes go into the city, week days during normal work hours literally won't happen as I won't risk it unless I have to.
